Italy's Decreto Flussi explained
Italy admits most non-EU workers through yearly quotas. The employer applies online, usually on a fixed date called a click day, and places can run out quickly.

How it works
The government sets quotas
A decree of 2 October 2025 sets planning for 2026 to 2028, with nearly 500,000 entries in total.
The employer prepares
Employers prepare applications in the online window before the click day.
Click day
The employer submits the application on the set date. Applications are handled within the available quota.
Permission and visa
If approved, the worker applies for the visa at the Italian consulate.
The 2026 click days
| Seasonal agriculture | 12 January 2026 |
|---|---|
| Seasonal tourism | 9 February 2026 |
| Non-seasonal employment | 16 February 2026 |
| Domestic workers | 18 February 2026 |
The 2026 dates have passed. Check the Ministry of Labour for the next calendar. For non-seasonal work in 2026, the Ministry allocated 43,300 quotas across territories.
What a worker should check
- The employer applies, not you. You cannot apply for a quota place alone.
- A place in a queue is not a visa. Nobody can promise a click day result.
- Ask for the employer's full name and contact the company directly.
- Be careful with "guaranteed quota" offers. Italian media and authorities have warned about fraud around this system.
